RECIPE OF THE WEEK: ONE POT BEEF AND PASTA!

INGREDIENTS 

1 1/2 lbs ground beef

1 tsp minced garlic

1 small onion diced

2 tbsp tomato paste

14 oz crushed tomato

1 1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

2 tsp italian seasoning

4 cups beef or veggie broth/stock

1 lb pasta (spirals, elbow, bowtie, penne or really anything you like)

3/4 cup whole milk or cream

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a saute pan over medium-high heat, brown ground beef and once cooked, drain/remove grease

  2. Add onion, garlic, italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste and saute until onion is tender

  3. Add tomato paste and brown for 1 minute

  4. Add crushed tomato and stock and stir until boiling

  5. Add pasta and reduce heat to simmer until pasta is tender then add the milk/cream until heated through, around 1 minute

  6. Serve in a bowl with finely grated parmesan cheese and toast points
