Merck Bovilis Piliguard Pinkeye Cattle Vaccine is for use in healthy cattle four weeks of age or older as an aid in the reduction of disease associated with infection by Moraxella Bovis (pinkeye). A proven one-shot administration, Piliguard is a cell-free bacterin in an oil emulsion adjuvant which cross-reacts with other pilus types for added protection. Includes Epp 63, Fla 64, and SAH 38 isolates.

Labeled for: beef and dairy cattle and calves

  • Effective against pinkeye associated with infection by Moraxella bovis strains expressing pili similar to those expressed by isolates referred to as Epp 63, Fla 64, and SAH 38.
  • One-dose pinkeye vaccine for season long protection.
  • The vaccine may be warmed to room temperature prior to injection.
  • Store at 2 to 7 °C; do not freeze.
  • Do not vaccinate within 60 days of slaughter.
  • For anaphylaxis reaction use Epinephrine.
  • The vaccine may be warmed to room temperature prior to injection. Shake the product well; and, using aseptic technique, inject 2.0-ml dose intramuscularly or subcutaneously into the neck 3 to 6 weeks prior to onset of pinkeye season. Annual revaccination with this product is recommended. The need for this booster has not been established. For more information on revaccination frequency, consult your veterinarian.
