Serves: 4–6
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 10–12 minutes
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
6 slices thick-cut bacon
6 slices cheddar cheese
6 burger buns
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, BBQ sauce, mayo
Butter for toasting buns
Instructions
-
Prep the Patties:
In a large bowl, mix the ground beef with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into 6 equal-sized patties, slightly larger than your buns (they’ll shrink a bit on the grill). Press a small dent in the center of each patty with your thumb to help them cook evenly.
-
Cook the Bacon:
Grill or pan-fry the bacon until crispy. Set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
-
Grill the Burgers:
Preheat your grill to medium-high. Grill patties 4–5 minutes per side, flipping once. In the last 1–2 minutes of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and close the lid to melt it.
-
Toast the Buns:
Lightly butter the insides of the buns and toast them face-down on the grill until golden brown.
-
Assemble Your Burgers:
Place the cheesy burger on the bottom bun, top with a slice of crispy bacon and your favorite toppings. Add the top bun and serve hot!
